History
Simon was born in 2247 on Mars, during the period when Mars was undergoing riots and rebellions to free itself from Earth's rule. Like several rogue telepaths, he and his family moved around on Mars a lot, avoiding the PsiCorps. His parents died when he was young, and he and his sister fled into the tunnels beneath Mars One. They spent years there, during the riots and civil wars on Mars; when Simon was fourteen, his sister died during the frequent rioting. He feels partially responsible for her death, believing that his abilities should have been able to prevent it.

Later that year, he found the knot of rogue telepaths on Mars, and joined them. Byron and the others never asked why he wouldn't speak, even in telepathic speech, and they took care of him. It wasn't easy, because they were all on the run from the PsiCorps, but it was family, in its own way.


Appearance
Simon is a short, skinny fifteen-year-old with floppy blonde hair, brown eyes and pale skin. He looks a little like a younger version of a consumptive Romantic poet, down to the shadows beneath his eyes, due to malnutrition and assorted minor illnesses that are common amongst the tunnel rats. He has an awkward stance, one arm crossed across his stomach to wrap his hand around his other elbow, and doesn't tend to look people in the eyes for long, unless he's scanning or sending a telepathic image.


Abilities
Simon is a fairly powerful telepath - a P8, by the PsiCorps's standards - although he rarely uses this ability for anything other than communication, and that only in images placed in the other person's brain. He won't scan someone without their permission, and he doesn't talk telepathically, although he's capable of both.


Inventory
Clothing, shoes, a ring on a chain around his neck, and a Babylon Five identicard that simply has the name 'Simon' on it - no surname.
